Name: Keivis Alexander Sierra
Arbitrarily detained: June 24, 2017
Released: December 23, 2017
Place of confinement: El Helicoide
Occupation: Cook and singer
The case of Alexander Sierra was described by informative portals as Armando.Info and by the same Foro Penal as “forgotten”. The young man was a victim of forced disappearance, kidnapped in Altamira by hooded officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) in the middle of the 2017 protests.
From the moment of his kidnapping, the cook and singer was listed as missing. His arbitrary detention was not notified to relatives or close friends. For months, he was held in El Helicoide cells without any kind of criminal process being opened.
On December 23, 2017, he was part of the group of political prisoners released by order of the National Constituent Assembly, as part of a “humanitarian measure” granted by the government on the eve of Christmas Eve.
