Cono Sapienza

Name: Cono Sapienza

Arbitrarily detained: August 10, 2018

Place of confinement: Dgcim-Caracas

Cono Sapienza and his wife Madelein Da Silva were detained by officials of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim) on August 10, 2018, for allegedly being linked to the drone attack against Nicolás Maduro in Caracas. The couple is compadre of Juan Carlos Monasterios, a military man imprisoned for the same case.

At the time of his arrest, he was with his wife in a restaurant owned by him in El Limón, Maracay. Both were taken arbitrarily to Caracas, where the 20 ° Control Court takes the case. Apparently, Juan Monasterios carried out banking transactions from the computer of the Sapienza business, so the Dgcim tracked the IP address and stopped the couple.

Today, both are being held in the dungeons of the Dgcim in Caracas. The couple has three children of 13, 10 and 5 years old. They are innocent.
