A commission of the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) violently broke into Hector’s house in Santa Rita, Aragua state. The officers entered dressed in black, with bulletproof vests, ski masks and heavily armed. They never identified themselves or showed an arrest warrant.

The audiovisual producer was imprisoned in Ramo Verde for having collaborated in the making of the film Suspended Death, where the pilot Oscar Pérez participated. The 3 rd Control Court of Caracas charged him with instigation of rebellion and terrorism.

On March 13, 2018, after more than two months behind bars, Hector received parole. He should never have been imprisoned.
